Karen Tate, MS, MBA


Karen Tate has more than 20 years of consulting and corporate experience designing, developing and implementing strategic business solutions for organizations of all sizes. Karen began her career as an external consultant in Accenture’s Change Management practice before transitioning into internal consultant and executive roles at BlueCross and BlueShield of North Carolina and Quintiles. Karen sees the value of providing her clients with the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing environment and equips clients with customizable tools and resources designed to address their unique needs. Having worked in both large corporations and consulting firms, Karen has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing leaders, teams, and organizations in rapidly changing markets. She leverages this experience to analyze her clients’ unique needs, design a customized solution, and support them through implementation and beyond.

Karen uses this systematic approach to develop, execute, and refine organization development strategies in order to foster high performance, improve operational inefficiencies, and drive annual growth. She has coordinated global change management initiatives to support business transformation while reinforcing the organizational values of performance accountability and adaptability. Her success in developing and implementing performance assessments has been highly recognized throughout her career.


Karen is recognized as an expert in her field and has been invited to speak at conferences for the Human Capital Institute (HCI), the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Development Dimensions International (DDI), The Organizational Change Alliance (OCA) and The BlueCross BlueShield National Summit. She executed organization wide leadership development solutions featured in TD Magazine and was recognized with the 2010 ATD BEST Award and Chief Learning Officer’s (CLO) Learning in Practice Award.
